TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Emily Scheese holds a US Soccer Coaching C License and has extensive coaching experience. Her recent roles include serving as the head coach for the Cal State Maritime Academy Women's Soccer Team and as Technical Director and Camp Director for Nike US Soccer Camps. She also coached multiple NPL girls' teams at Almaden FC and worked as a Technical Trainer at Aptos Tide Soccer Club. Emily's leadership is marked by her strategic development of both coaching staff and players, making her a key asset in fostering soccer excellence at GLG.

PROGRAM MANAGER

Maia played soccer competitively and for ECNL during her youth years in Texas where she grew up. She has been coaching youth sports/soccer for five years; three of those with GLG. Maia holds her USSF 7v7, 9v9, 11v11 Coaching License. Maia is also a certified youth soccer referee and referee assignor. She graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelors in Politics while also playing on the Women's Club Soccer Team. When Maia is not on the field you can find her completing the New York Times crossword puzzle.

CUSTOMER SUCCESS

Amy leads our registrations and customer success initiatives directly interacting and supporting parents across seasons and programs. Amy has over 20 years of experience in marketing, business development, and project management. Amy graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelors in Business and from University of Illinois at Chicago with an MBA. Amy started with GLG in 2014 as a Board Member and became a staff member in 2019.

HR & FINANCE

Kelly supports GLG across financial planning and analysis, HR and operations. She graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering and an MBA. Kelly is a certified Project Manager and worked for multiple large corporations in business process improvement engineering. She has worked with several service organizations including Peace Corps, Engineers Without Borders, Habitat for Humanity, and NJ Aid for Animals, among others. Kelly joined GLG in 2022.

FOUNDER, ADVISOR

Bre, the founder of Girls Leading Goals and a Bay Area native, has significantly shaped the organization by emphasizing the empowerment of young girls to become leaders through soccer. With a BS in Business from Sacramento State University and a master's in International Studies from the University of San Francisco, her educational background is as robust as her soccer credentials. Bre's vast coaching experience spans from founding Vanuatu’s first women’s regional soccer team to leading varsity programs in San Francisco, holding a USSF Coaching “D” license and an NSCAA National Diploma. As an advisor to GLG, Bre continues to inspire and elevate the program, differentiating it from other Bay Area soccer clubs with a unique leadership-driven approach.

PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Kayli currently coaches both recreational and competitive teams across age ranges, skill levels and locations (San Francisco and Oakland).

Lexi played competitive travel soccer for over 10 years and was a radio sportscaster for the Dominican University of California's NCAA soccer programs. She coaches multiple teams at GLG across our recreational and competitive programs.
