Bring Your Micro Team OverMicro Soccer is 4v4, right-sized fields, no goalkeepers, and coaches who specialize in exactly this age — trained for it, not just assigned to it. Practices run after school during the week; weekend games are friendly and non-score-keeping, so the only thing being measured is how much fun she's having.
She's working with a smaller ball on a smaller field on purpose, building the basics — first touch, shielding, comfort on both feet — before goalkeeping or bigger-field tactics ever enter the picture.
Underneath the fun, real development is happening. Our coaches are trained to build comfort on both feet, confidence going to the ball first, and the first building blocks of being a good teammate — listening, encouraging, celebrating a friend's goal like it's her own. We create space for mistakes on purpose: a growth mindset only sticks if trying something new never feels risky.

Why parents choose Micro Soccer
- Coaches vetted specifically for managing a full team of K–1st graders — not soccer generalists thrown into the youngest age group
- Non-competitive weekend friendlies — zero pressure, all enjoyment
- A concrete first technical foundation: comfort on both feet, 5–20 yard passing, shielding, trapping, and shooting with the inside of the foot
- A game sized to her, on purpose — 4v4, no goalkeepers yet, a smaller ball — so fundamentals come first, before the game gets bigger

Where we typically play
SF SOL practices happen citywide — most often on Golden Gate Park turf and grass fields (Beach Chalet, Crocker Amazon, Big Rec, Polo Fields), Sunset District playgrounds (West Sunset, South Sunset), and neighborhood fields in the Marina, SOMA, Presidio, and Fillmore. SF Rec & Park assigns exact fields through an annual permit lottery, so specific locations shift somewhat from season to season — this map reflects where SF SOL teams have typically played.
