Questions parents ask

Straight answers — and the full list lives on our FAQ page.

What's the difference between Recreational and Competitive?
Both run on the same SF SOL curriculum. Recreational is once-a-week practice with weekend games — built for building skills, confidence, and friendships at a social pace. Competitive is twice-a-week practice with SFYS Premier or NorCal Premier League play — built for players ready for a higher level of commitment and tactical development. See Recreational Soccer and Competitive Soccer.
How often does her team practice and play?
It depends on her program: Micro is 1 practice/week plus weekend friendlies; Recreational is 1 practice/week plus weekend games; Competitive is 2 practices/week plus weekend league games. See each Programs page for specifics.
How do I order her uniform?
Through our official soccer.com Club Store — see Merch for the full step-by-step, including how to claim her jersey number first.
