The one-paragraph version
Camp runs Monday through Thursday, 9:00am–3:30pm, at Beach Chalet Fields in Golden Gate Park and South Sunset Soccer Fields. Early drop-off starts 8:30am and late pick-up runs to 4:30pm, with half-day options if a full day is too much for a younger camper. Two tracks: Soccer & Creativity ($495/week, ages 5–14, open to any level) and Competitive Camp ($595/week, for players who want a harder push). That's the logistics — here's what it actually feels like.
Mornings: ball at her feet
The day starts on the grass with small-group skills — coaches set up stations and rotate groups through, so nobody stands in a line waiting for one touch on the ball. Groups are split by age and level, which means a 6-year-old first-timer and a 12-year-old club player each get a morning that's actually hers. Every coach on the field is a woman — the same standard as every other GLG SF SOL program, and for a lot of campers it's the first time they've seen that.

Middays: the part she'll talk about at dinner
Soccer & Creativity is built for a real summer, not a six-hour training block. The middle of the day mixes in creative, off-ball activities — art, games, the kind of thing that turns a group of campers into a group of friends. Competitive Camp keeps the soccer intensity higher throughout, because that's what its players signed up for.
Afternoons: games
Afternoons are for playing — small-sided games where the morning's skills show up on their own. Coaches keep teams balanced and rotating so everyone attacks, everyone defends, and everyone touches the ball a lot. By Thursday, the shy Monday kids are calling for the ball by name.
What to pack
Cleats or turf shoes, shin guards, a full water bottle, layers (Golden Gate Park mornings are cold; afternoons aren't), sunscreen, and lunch. That's it — we bring the balls, bibs, and cones.
Do you need to be a GLG SF SOL member? (No.)
Camps are open registration — any level, any club, no membership required. For a lot of families, one week of camp is the lowest-commitment way to find out whether GLG SF SOL is her place before committing to a season.
Cost, honestly
$495/week for Soccer & Creativity, $595/week for Competitive Camp. Three ways that number comes down: a 10% sibling discount for each additional sibling, a 30% new-family discount (first summer only, limited-time offer), and financial aid with simple verification. Remaining summer sessions and registration links live on the camps page.
