Our Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Junior Coaches are the backbone of our organization. We work hard to train, retain, and mentor them, and we treat them like the professionals they are.

COACH, PART-TIME (Paid or volunteer)

The GLG Coach provides planned, structured soccer practices each week with the support of a Trainer, and possibly an Assistant Coach or Junior Coach, using the GLG curriculum. Girls Leading Goals leadership and character-building curriculum will be provided for each team practice. You will gain leadership skills, sports-based youth development tools, customer service skills, and a network of other female athletes and young professionals. Each coach is provided structured feedback by Trainers and is further supported by and reports to the Director of Program Management.

ASSISTANT COACH, PArt time (paid or volunteer)

The GLG Assistant Coach provides planned, structured soccer practices with the support of a Coach, and possibly a Junior Coach, using the GLG curriculum. Girls Leading Goals leadership and character-building curriculum will be provided. You will gain leadership skills, sports-based youth development tools, customer service skills, and a network of other female athletes and young professionals. Each Assistant Coach will co-lead soccer activities with a Coach and will also lead soccer activities on their own. Each Assistant Coach is provided structured feedback by and reports to the Director of Program Management.

JUNIOR COACH, STIPEND/PART-TIME (Paid or volunteer)

The GLG Junior Coach (JC) program is designed as an apprenticeship for high school players to learn how to become a coach through practical experience and mentorship. The Junior Coach is required to attend at least one practice or game each week and support the head coach. Each junior coach is supported by the team’s Coach/Trainer/Assistant Coach and the Director of Program Management.
