The Olympic Club Foundation is hosting a virtual event with Brandi Chastain, Aly Wagner, and Jackson Family Wines on May 20th to raise money for girls’ sports grantees.
Girls Leading Girls is a long-time grantee of the Olympic Club Foundation including other amazing programs like ICA Cristo Rey, Girls on the Run, Girls Golf at BCGC of the Coastside, BAWSI, and Girl Ventures.
Friendship, discipline, self-esteem, teamwork, leadership skills, and a sense of belonging are often the product of youth sports and the OCF is committed to providing access for all girls, for many reasons, including:
Girls who play sports report higher levels of confidence and self-esteem at all ages;
Girls who play sports have higher GPAs and have higher opinions of their abilities;
94% of female C-Suite Executives played sports;
61% of female executives say athletics contributed to their career success; and
Girls in sports are more likely to believe that they are smart enough for their dream career.
