Girls Leading Goals Competitive Team Club Tryouts

The Girls Leading Goals (GLG SOL Club) Competitive and Travel Team tryouts for the Fall 2024-Spring 2025 season is just around the corner, happening on May 5th Beach Chalet field 1. This is your chance to join a supportive community dedicated to nurturing not only your soccer talents but also your leadership skills.
At GLG, we believe in empowering girls to become confident leaders both on and off the field. With our all-women coaches and mentors, we are committed to providing a positive and encouraging environment where players can thrive and reach their full potential.

Important Note: All current GLG SOL players must attend tryouts to maintain their spot on their current team or to try out for a higher-level team within GLG.
Schedule for the tryouts:
1:30-2:30pm Players born in 2016, 2017, 2018
2:45-3:45pm Warriors & United players born 2015-2014
4:00-5:00pm Pride & Inspire players born 2012-2011
5:15-6:15pm Thrive & Courage players born 2014-2013
Players born 2008-2010 will tryout at our 2009 Power Norcal Travel team practice on either 5/7 or 5/9
Makeup Tryouts will be on 5/7 and 5/9.
About the Tryouts:
Tryouts will consist of technical and tactical stations covering various skills such as dribbling, shooting, goalkeeping, and positional play. The emphasis will be on player effort and energy to create a stress-free environment. We want the girls to have fun while showcasing their abilities!
During tryouts, we assess the following areas:
Self-Confidence
Agility/Body Control Skills
Ball Skills
Fitness Level (based on agility and ball skills drills)
Tactical Knowledge
Overall Participation Level
Effort Level
Focus Level
Enthusiasm, Attitude, and Coachability
