Thank you Airtable for the Company Gift Match
GLG recently received a generous donation from Airtable through their gift matching program, and we’re grateful for the tech platform’s continued support. Lila Cantor, Airtable’s Senior Customer Success Manager and a former GLG coach, has supported GLG over the years through her mentorship, volunteerism, and stewardship.
“Ever since I joined the company three years ago, Airtable has always allowed for donation matching through recruiting new folks to join Airtable.
It's so important that companies give back and offer a donation match to employees because it's a great way to incentivize current employees to find great talent for the company they are a part of and it's a way to give back to the community. This opportunity allows folks to contribute to organizations that matter to them personally. For me, that's what Girls Leading Girls has offered me - I learned so much by being a coach and mentor at GLG that I want to make sure I find ways to give back.”
Lila Cantor is a Senior Customer Success Manager at Airtable and is also a life coach on the side. As a life coach, Lila helps individuals explore where they are today and helps them create a plan to move forward - whether in career pathing, life, relationships, or anything else. Her coaching is open to high schoolers and up through a sliding scale fee. GLG raises funds annually to support our free afterschool program serving over 300 girls in low-income public schools in the Bay Area, 100 scholarships for our club soccer program for girls in financial need, 100 free summer camp spots, and monthly training and mentorship for our women coaches.
Corporate matching gifts are a type of philanthropy in which companies financially match donations that their employees make to nonprofit organizations. When an employee makes a donation, they’ll request the matching gift from their employer, who then makes their own donation.
