Meet our Community Coordinator, Mahnaz!
My name is Mahnaz Salvador, GLG Community Coordinator. I was a former registrar for a soccer league in Richmond California. I’ve been a dance instructor and teach leadership skills. I am also a life coach, a peer support specialist, and an activities coordinator.
What has your past experience taught you that applies in your work with Girls Leading Girls?
I taught leadership skills at one of GLG’s summer camps.
What are the top 3 things soccer and sports have given you?
The top 3 things soccer and sports have given me is, leadership, team building, and comrade relationships.
What do you want to do in order to make the world better?
I would like to continue writing and recording songs to reach out musically to make the world better.
How will you use your new role at Girls Leading Girls to further our mission and make an impact?
I will use my new role to connect with families and be a light in this crisis.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
My best piece of advice given was to continue my education.
Where are you from and what brought you to the Bay Area?
I was born and lived in Phoenix, Arizona. My mom brought me to the Bay Area soon after.
