Meet Coach Natalie!
"The best advice I ever got was that- hard work beats talent, especially when talent doesn't work hard."
Coach Natalie Macias has been coaching for Girls Leading Girls- Sf Sol Courage 05 U13 competitive team for the past 3.5 years! Natalie has led this team to repeated success over the years. She is currently the Head Coach of the University of San Francisco Women's Soccer Club Team and is the Assistant Director of Health Promotion Services at the University of San Francisco.
Originally from So-Cal, Natalie has been playing soccer since she was 8 years old with the Irvine Strikers and then played in college at San Francisco State University as a midfielder. Since then, she has been coaching soccer for the past ten years and says she enjoys sharing her love of the game and her knowledge with all ages of players.
When she was a student-athlete she said discipline and focusing on the little things helped her reach the bigger goals she had. After graduating from SF State University, Natalie went on to the Peace Corps and served in Belize for two years as a United States Peace Corps volunteer. Upon returning to the Bay Area she got her Master's Degree in Public Health at the University of San Francisco.
